Kotaro Umeji is a Japanese graphic designer. He is best known for his work at the video game development company iNiS, where he served as a visual and art director. He shaped the image of U-1 and other characters from the video game Gitaroo Man (2002) for the PlayStation 2, as well as Gitaroo Man Lives! (2006) for the PlayStation Portable. He also created the characters and art found in Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan (2005) and Elite Beat Agents (2006), both for the Nintendo DS.
