Komatevo is a residential area and former village located in the Plovdiv Province, southern Bulgaria. It is administratively part of the Plovdiv Municipality and lies to the south of the city center of Plovdiv, within the fertile Thracian Plain.
Historically an independent village, Komatevo has progressively integrated into the urban fabric of Plovdiv, functioning largely as a southern suburb or district of the city.
One of its notable features is the presence of significant sports infrastructure. The area is home to the training complex used by PFC Lokomotiv Plovdiv, a professional football club, which includes training pitches and facilities that contribute to the local sports scene.
