Etymology / Origin
The name “Kocherinovo” is believed to derive from a personal or family name “Kocherin,” which may have been of Slavic origin. Another hypothesis links the name to the nearby Kocherin River, a tributary of the Struma. Precise historical documentation of the name’s origin is limited; therefore, accurate information is not confirmed.
