Kim Woo-seok (actor)

Kim Woo-seok (Korean: 김우석; born March 3, 1994) is a South Korean actor. He gained recognition for his roles in various television series, including Voice 4 (2021), Military Prosecutor Doberman (2022), and The Forbidden Marriage (2022–2023).

Early Life and Education

Kim Woo-seok was born on March 3, 1994, in South Korea. He attended Chung-Ang University, where he majored in Theater and Film.

Career

Kim Woo-seok began his acting career in 2017 with a role in the popular web drama Love Playlist Season 2. He continued to take on various supporting and minor roles in both web and television dramas, gradually building his acting experience and profile.

His breakthrough came with more prominent roles in mainstream television. In 2021, he starred in the crime thriller series Voice 4, where his portrayal of the complex and enigmatic antagonist Dong Bang-min garnered significant attention and critical acclaim. This role allowed him to showcase his versatility and ability to embody dark and multifaceted characters effectively.

Following Voice 4, Kim Woo-seok took on another villainous role as Noh Tae-nam, a spoiled and ruthless chaebol heir, in the 2022 legal action drama Military Prosecutor Doberman. His intense performance in this series further solidified his reputation as a rising actor capable of delivering powerful and memorable portrayals.

He then diversified his roles by taking on a lead role in the historical romantic comedy The Forbidden Marriage (2022–2023), where he played Lee Shin-won, a loyal and upright guard and childhood friend of the crown prince. This role demonstrated his versatility by successfully transitioning from intense antagonists to a more heroic and romantic character. In 2023, he also appeared in the historical mystery drama Our Blooming Youth. His recent work includes the fantasy romance drama The Midnight Studio (2024).

Kim Woo-seok has also made an appearance in film, notably in the 2021 horror film The Curse: Dead Man's Prey.
