Kim Mi-jung (judoka, born 1978)

Kim Mi-jung (Korean: 김미정, born March 29, 1978) is a retired South Korean judoka who competed in the heavyweight division (+78 kg).

Career Highlights:

Kim Mi-jung achieved considerable success in international judo competitions, primarily in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Her most notable achievement was winning a gold medal at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, Australia, defeating Cuban judoka Daima Beltrán in the final.
