KidZania Tokyo is an indoor family entertainment and education center located in the Toyosu district of Kōtō, Tokyo, Japan. It is part of the global KidZania brand, which offers children role‑play experiences that simulate real‑world professions and activities.
The facility opened in March 2006, becoming the first KidZania location established outside of Mexico. Operated by KidZania Co., Ltd., the Tokyo site occupies approximately 30,000 square metres of floor space and is housed within the Toyosu “Future Center” complex.
Inside KidZania Tokyo, visitors aged 4 to 14 can receive a virtual currency called “KidZos,” which they earn by performing a variety of role‑play jobs such as pilot, chef, doctor, police officer, and news reporter. The earned KidZos can be spent at the venue’s shops, banks, and restaurants, providing a simulated economic environment. The center features dozens of themed activity stations, a miniature city layout, and an emphasis on safety and educational content aligned with the KidZania mission to promote experiential learning about work, responsibility, and citizenship.
KidZania Tokyo has been referenced in tourism guides, Japanese business publications, and the official KidZania corporate communications as a major attraction contributing to the leisure and educational market in Tokyo. The venue experienced temporary closure during the COVID‑19 pandemic in early 2020 and subsequently reopened with health and safety measures in place.
As of the most recent publicly available reports, KidZania Tokyo continues to host several thousand child visitors each month, offering seasonal events and collaborations with local and international brands.
