Kevan Miller (born August 1, 1987) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Boston Bruins and the Vancouver Canucks.
Early life and amateur career
Miller was born in Kanata, Ontario, Canada. He played junior hockey with the Ottawa 67’s of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) before enrolling at Boston University, where he played for the Boston University Terriers men’s ice hockey team. While at Boston University, Miller was part of the 2009 NCAA championship‑winning squad.
Professional career

Draft and minor leagues – Miller was selected in the fourth round, 94th overall, by the Florida Panthers in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. He never appeared in an NHL game for Florida. He began his professional career in the American Hockey League (AHL) with the Manitoba Moose and later the Providence Bruins.

Boston Bruins (2012–2015) – Miller made his NHL debut with the Boston Bruins on November 20, 2012. He was a regular member of the Bruins’ defensive roster during the 2012‑13 and 2013‑14 seasons. Although the Bruins won the Stanley Cup in 2011‑12, Miller did not dress for any playoff games that postseason.

Vancouver Canucks (2015–2020) – On March 2, 2015, Miller was traded to the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for a third‑round draft pick. He signed a two‑year contract extension with Vancouver on June 30, 2016, and later a one‑year extension in July 2018. Miller remained with the Canucks organization until the conclusion of the 2019‑20 season.
