Kerry Jang is a Canadian medical doctor and former municipal politician who served as a member of the Vancouver City Council from 2008 to 2018. He was elected as a representative of the Non-Partisan Association (NPA) in the 2008 municipal election and was subsequently re‑elected in 2011 and 2014. During his tenure on council, Jang held the position of chair of the Development and Buildings Committee and was involved in initiatives related to urban planning, housing, and public health.
Prior to his service on the city council, Jang was a trustee on the Vancouver School Board from 2002 to 2008. He holds a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from the University of British Columbia and practiced family medicine in the Vancouver area. Jang has also been associated with health governance bodies; in 2019 he was appointed to the board of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) in British Columbia.
Jang is of Hong Kong heritage and has been active in community organizations focusing on multicultural integration and health equity. He has not held elected office at the provincial or federal level.
