Kent Lockhart was selected by the Kansas City Chiefs in the 9th round (228th overall) of the 1980 NFL Draft. He played for the Chiefs during the 1980 and 1981 seasons. He later joined the Los Angeles Raiders for the 1982 season, which was shortened due to a players' strike. His NFL career spanned three seasons.
