Kenneth Lockwood

Kenneth Lockwood (February 1877 – December 1941) was a Canadian lawyer and politician who served as a Member of Parliament in the House of Commons of Canada.

Early Life and Career

Born in Brantford, Ontario, in February 1877, Kenneth Lockwood pursued a career in law. He later relocated to British Columbia, where he established his legal practice.

Political Career

Lockwood entered federal politics as a candidate for the Liberal Party of Canada. In the 1926 Canadian federal election, he successfully contested the electoral district of New Westminster, British Columbia. He was elected to the 16th Canadian Parliament, serving alongside Prime Minister William Lyon Mackenzie King's Liberal government.

During his tenure as a Member of Parliament, Lockwood represented his constituents from 1926 until 1930. He sought re-election in the 1930 federal election but was defeated by Thomas Reid of the Liberal-Progressive Party.

Later Life

After his defeat in 1930, Lockwood returned to his legal career. He passed away in December 1941 at the age of 64.
