Ken Hamlin (born January 20, 1981) is an American former professional football player who played safety in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Arkansas Razorbacks and was selected in the second round of the 2003 NFL Draft. Hamlin spent eight seasons in the NFL with the Seattle Seahawks, Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Ravens, and Indianapolis Colts.
Early life and education
Ken Hamlin was born in Memphis, Tennessee. He attended the University of Arkansas, where he played for the Razorbacks football team. At Arkansas, Hamlin was a standout defensive back, earning All‑SEC honors and contributing to the team's appearance in the 2002 Cotton Bowl Classic.
College career
During his collegiate tenure (1999–2002), Hamlin recorded 190 tackles, five interceptions, and multiple pass break‑ups. His performance earned him a reputation as a versatile safety, capable of both run support and pass coverage, leading to his selection in the 2003 NFL Draft.
