Keith LeClair (July 9 1963 – August 21 2010) was an American college baseball coach, notable for his head‑coaching tenures at East Tennessee State University and Western Carolina University, where he achieved multiple conference titles and NCAA tournament appearances.

Overview
LeClair was born in Columbia, South Carolina. He attended Western Carolina University (WCU), playing as a shortstop for the Catamounts baseball team from 1982 to 1985. After graduating, he began his coaching career, serving as an assistant coach at Virginia Commonwealth University and later at his alma mater.

In 1990, LeClair was appointed head coach of the East Tennessee State University (ETSU) Buccaneers baseball program. During his eight‑year tenure, he guided the Buccaneers to three Southern Conference (SoCon) regular‑season championships and secured the program’s first NCAA tournament berth in 1993.

LeClair accepted the head‑coaching position at Western Carolina University in 1998. Over eleven seasons, he compiled a winning record, led the Catamounts to three Southern Conference tournament titles (1999, 2002, 2003), and directed the team to three NCAA regional appearances (1999, 2002, 2003). His coaching earned him multiple SoCon Coach of the Year honors and recognition from the American Baseball Coaches Association.

In 2008, LeClair was diagnosed with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. He stepped down from coaching duties but remained active in fundraising and awareness efforts for cancer research until his death in August 2010. In tribute, Western Carolina renamed its baseball field “Keith LeClair Field at Western Carolina” and established scholarships and awards in his name. He was posthumously inducted into the Southern Conference Hall of Fame (2011) and the Western Carolina Athletics Hall of Fame (2012).
