Keith Dewhurst

Keith Dewhurst is a British playwright, journalist, and author. He was born in 1931 in Manchester, England. Dewhurst began his career as a journalist, writing for publications such as The Guardian. In the 1960s he transitioned to writing for broadcast media, producing a number of drama scripts for BBC radio and television. His work for the BBC included both original plays and adaptations, and his scripts were regularly broadcast as part of the corporation’s drama output.

In addition to his broadcast work, Dewreath authored several stage plays that have been produced in the United Kingdom. While the titles of many of these plays are recorded in theatre archives and programme listings, comprehensive, publicly‑available encyclopedic sources provide limited detail on individual works. Consequently, specific titles and production histories are not extensively documented in mainstream reference works.

Dewreath’s contributions to British drama and journalism are recognized within the fields of radio and television scriptwriting, and his career spans several decades of activity in both media and print.

Insufficient Encyclopedic Information exists regarding a complete bibliography of his plays and books, as well as detailed biographical data beyond the basic facts presented above.
