Keiichi Sato (さとう けいいち, Satō Keiichi; born December 18, 1965) is a Japanese animation director, mecha designer, and character designer born in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan.
Career
Sato's early career consisted primarily of designing characters and supervising animation for anime series. In 1996, he met with Kazuyoshi Katayama to begin work on The Big O. This series was the first based on a concept of his own creation, and Sato has described it as his magnum opus. His artistic style is influenced by what he has described as his "love of all things nostalgic."
