Kayne Lawton (born 27 May 1989) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer. He primarily played as a hooker, halfback, or lock throughout his career.
Early Life and Junior Career Lawton was born in Parkes, New South Wales, Australia. He played his junior rugby league for the Burleigh Bears and was part of the Gold Coast Titans' development pathways.
Professional Career Lawton made his National Rugby League (NRL) debut for the Gold Coast Titans in 2011. He played a handful of games for the Titans over two seasons, often coming off the interchange bench.
In 2014, he signed with the New Zealand Warriors, where he added to his NRL appearances. After his stint with the Warriors, Lawton returned to the Queensland Cup (Q-Cup), a prominent semi-professional competition, to play for clubs such as the Burleigh Bears and Tweed Heads Seagulls. He was a consistent performer at the Q-Cup level, providing valuable experience and versatility to his teams. His career was marked by his utility value, being able to cover multiple positions in the spine and forward pack.
