Karaahmetli is a neighborhood located in the district of Yüreğir, Adana Province, Turkey. It is situated in the fertile Çukurova region, an area characterized by high agricultural productivity and a Mediterranean climate.
Administratively, Karaahmetli was formerly classified as a village. However, following the enactment of Law No. 6360 in 2012, which reorganized the local government system in Turkey, all villages within the boundaries of metropolitan municipalities were officially reclassified as neighborhoods (Turkish: mahalle). Consequently, it falls under the jurisdiction of the Yüreğir Municipality and the Adana Metropolitan Municipality.
The economy of Karaahmetli is primarily based on agriculture, which is the dominant industry in the surrounding Adana plains. The region is known for the cultivation of various crops, including cotton, citrus fruits, corn, and various vegetables. Due to its status as a small administrative unit, specific historical records and demographic data are primarily maintained through Turkish national census records and local government archives.
