Kamışlı, Nizip

Kamışlı is a rural neighborhood located in the Nizip district of Gaziantep Province, Turkey. While it is an officially recognized administrative entity, it is not widely documented in general encyclopedic literature, and detailed historical or statistical data regarding the settlement is limited.

The settlement is situated in the Southeastern Anatolia Region. Administratively, Kamışlı was previously classified as a village. It was reclassified as a neighborhood (mahalle) following the 2012 administrative reorganization of metropolitan provinces in Turkey (Law No. 6360), which incorporated villages into the municipal structures of their respective districts.

The primary economic activities in and around Kamışlı are agricultural. The Nizip district is a significant center for the cultivation of Antep pistachios and olives, and the land use in Kamışlı typically reflects these regional agricultural patterns. Due to its status as a small local neighborhood, there is insufficient encyclopedic information available regarding its specific founding history, detailed demographics, or unique cultural landmarks.
