Kai Lukas Münger (born 26 May 2003) is a Swiss professional ice hockey left winger who currently plays for HC Thurgau of the Swiss League (SL).
Early Life and Background
Münger was born on 26 May 2003 in Bern, Switzerland. He stands 6 ft 0 in (183 cm) tall and weighs 194 lb (88 kg). He shoots left-handed and plays the position of left wing.
Playing Career
Junior Career
Münger spent his last junior season with Mora IK's U20 team in the J20 Nationell (Sweden). During the 2022–23 regular season, he appeared in 37 games, recording 8 points (5 goals).
Professional Career
On 20 June 2023, Münger signed his first professional contract with HCV Martigny of the Swiss League (SL). He made his professional debut in the 2023–24 season, appearing in 45 regular-season games and recording 11 points (8 goals).
Later in the 2023–24 season, Münger joined HC Ajoie of the National League (NL), Switzerland's top tier. He made his NL debut and appeared in 6 games before the end of the regular season.
On 28 March 2024, Münger agreed to a one-year contract with HC Thurgau of the SL. After a strong start with the team, he was signed to an early two-year contract extension on 13 December 2024.
