Jutland Dragoon Regiment

Jutland Dragoon Regiment (Danish: Jydske Dragonregiment, abbreviated JDR) is a mechanised cavalry regiment of the Royal Danish Army. It serves as one of the Danish Army’s primary armored and reconnaissance units and is stationed at the garrison of Holstebro in the Central Denmark Region.

It received the formal title Jydske Dragonregiment in 1659, making it one of the oldest continuous cavalry formations in Denmark. Throughout its history the regiment has undergone multiple reorganisations, adapting from traditional horse‑mounted dragoons to motorised and later mechanised forces.
