June Carlson

June Carlson (August 16, 1924 – December 8, 1999) was an American actress primarily active in Hollywood during the late 1930s and 1940s. She was known for her roles as wholesome, often naive adolescents in B-movies, serials, and a popular film series.


Early Life and Career

Born in Los Angeles, California, Carlson began her acting career as a child. She quickly found a niche playing teenage characters, often portraying the younger sister or best friend of the protagonist. Her fresh-faced appearance and relatable demeanor made her a popular choice for these roles.

Filmography and Notable Roles

Carlson's career flourished during the Golden Age of Hollywood, particularly with studios like Paramount Pictures, Monogram Pictures, and Republic Pictures.

One of her most notable roles was playing Agnes in the popular Aldrich Family film series, which adapted the radio show for the big screen. In this series, she appeared alongside Jimmy Lydon as Henry Aldrich and Jackie Moran as his friend Dizzy. Films in this series included:
