Julia Antipova

Julia Antipova (also transliterated as Yulia Antipova) refers to two notable Russian athletes distinguished in winter sports.

Yulia Konstantinovna Antipova (Luge) Yulia Konstantinovna Antipova (born July 14, 1966) is a Soviet former luger who competed during the late 1980s and early 1990s. She attained international recognition for her performances in the FIL World Luge Championships, where she won two silver medals in the women's singles event in 1989 (Winterberg) and 1990 (Calgary). Additionally, she represented the Soviet Union at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, finishing fifth in the women's singles competition.

Yulia Valeryevna Antipova (Figure Skating) Yulia Valeryevna Antipova (born December 18, 1997) is a Russian former competitive pair skater. She is primarily known for her partnership with Nodari Maisuradze, which began in 2012. The duo achieved success on the international circuit, placing eighth at the 2014 World Figure Skating Championships and fourth at the 2014 Russian Championships.

Antipova’s competitive career drew significant public attention in late 2014 due to a life-threatening health crisis. She was diagnosed with a severe form of anorexia nervosa and underwent prolonged medical treatment and rehabilitation in Israel. Following her recovery, she attempted to return to the sport but did not resume high-level international competition. She eventually transitioned into coaching.
