Marie Joseph Jules Dugal (November 25, 1888 – January 24, 1975) was a Canadian ice hockey executive and coach, best known for his long association with the Montreal Canadiens of the National Hockey League (NHL).
Early Life
Dugal was born in Saint-Jean-de-l'Île-d'Orléans, Quebec, and studied at Collège de Lévis.
Career with the Montreal Canadiens
Dugal served as the team's secretary-treasurer from 1922 to 1939. He took over as head coach of the Canadiens midway through the 1938–39 season following the dismissal of Cecil Hart on January 24, 1939. He coached the team for the remainder of that season, posting a record of 9 wins, 6 losses, and 3 ties (18 games). The Canadiens qualified for the playoffs but lost in the first round to the Detroit Red Wings, two games to one.
Following his stint as head coach, Dugal served as general manager of the Canadiens from 1939 to 1940.

Personal Life and Death
Dugal died on January 24, 1975 (some sources list 1976), in Pompano Beach, Florida, at the age of 86.
