At the 2006 census, its population was 29, in 6 families. The village is situated on a flat coastal plain along the Makran Coast, characterized by sandy soils and low-lying terrain with elevations typically below 20 meters above sea level.

Jugin is also a surname. Notable individuals bearing the name include Milivoj Jugin (22 August 1925 – 20 January 2013), a Yugoslav and Serbian aeronautical engineer, constructor, publicist, and popularizer of science. He was part of the engineering team that designed the Soko G-2 Galeb, Yugoslavia's first mass-produced jet aircraft. He served as an expert commentator on Belgrade Television, reported live from Cape Kennedy for the Apollo 11 launch, and participated in numerous astronautical congresses, including the 1968 United Nations Conference on the Exploration and Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (UNISPACE I) in Vienna.

Jugin is also the name of a fictional character in the video game Valkyria Chronicles 2, where he is a Darcsen lancer and a friend of Leon Hardins.

Additionally, Jugin (or Juggin) appears in other contexts, such as a type of bridal forehead ornament described in some South Asian jewelry traditions, and as a username or alias on various online platforms.
