John Vernon (born Adolphus Raymondus Sylvester de Burke; February 24, 1932 – February 1, 2005) was a Canadian actor. Known for his deep voice and imposing screen presence, he frequently portrayed authority figures and villains in both film and television over a career spanning more than four decades.
Early Life and Education
Vernon was born in Zehner, Saskatchewan, Canada, and later moved to the town of Regina. He attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London, England, where he honed his acting skills. He also studied at the Banff School of Fine Arts.Career
