He later managed clubs across Europe, including Real Sociedad (Spain), where he won the Copa del Rey in 1998, and Deportivo La Coruña (Spain). Toshack also served as head coach of the Welsh national team from 1994 to 1995 and again from 2004 to 2007, overseeing the team’s attempts to qualify for major international tournaments.
