John Evans (footballer, born 1929)

John Evans (born 1929) was a Welsh international footballer. He primarily played as a centre-half. Evans played for West Bromwich Albion, joining the club in 1949 and making his debut in 1950. He went on to become a key member of the team, helping them win the FA Cup in 1954, beating Preston North End 3-2 in the final. He also earned 16 caps for Wales. He left West Bromwich Albion in 1960.
