Joanic is a station on the Barcelona Metro system, serving Line 4 (L4, also known as the Yellow Line). It is located beneath Plaça de Joanic, within the Vila de Gràcia district of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.
The station opened in 1973 as part of the initial section of the then-named Line IV, which connected Urquinaona to Joanic. It served as the northern terminus of the line for a period until further extensions were completed.
Joanic station features two tracks and two side platforms. Its design is typical of many Barcelona Metro stations, with an accessible main entrance leading to a concourse level, followed by stairs and escalators descending to the platform level. The station's name is derived from the square above it, Plaça de Joanic, a prominent local hub in Gràcia.
Given its location in the heart of Gràcia, Joanic is a significant transport point for residents and visitors to the area, providing access to the district's numerous shops, restaurants, cultural venues, and residential zones. While it does not offer direct interchange with other metro lines, it connects to various bus routes serving the surrounding neighborhoods.
