Joan Lind Van Blom (September 26, 1952 – June 1, 2015) was an American rower who competed in the Olympic Games and World Rowing Championships. She was a medalist in two Olympic Games and multiple World Championships.
Lind began her rowing career after graduating from California State University, Long Beach. Her early successes led to a place on the U.S. National Rowing Team.
She won a silver medal in the single sculls at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal, Canada. Eight years later, she won a silver medal in the quadruple sculls at the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles, California.
Lind also earned several medals at the World Rowing Championships. Her achievements helped to elevate the profile of women's rowing in the United States. After her competitive career, she remained involved in the sport as a coach and mentor. She was inducted into the National Rowing Hall of Fame in 1991.
