Jiang Huihua (Chinese: 蒋惠花; born 22 January 1998) is a Chinese female weightlifter who competes in the women's 49 kg category. She is a multiple-time world champion and world record holder.
Early Life and Background
Jiang Huihua was born on January 22, 1998, in Fuchuan Yao Autonomous County, Hezhou City, Guangxi, China. She is of Yao ethnic origin. She began professional weightlifting training in 2008 under coach Xu Weimei. She graduated from Guangxi Normal University in 2020 and subsequently pursued a graduate degree in sports training at Beijing Sport University.
Career
Jiang Huihua first gained international attention as a junior athlete. In 2013, she won the gold medal in the women's 48 kg category at the Asian Youth Games in Nanjing, China. In 2014, she won gold at the Youth Olympic Games, also in Nanjing.
She won her first senior world championship gold medal at the 2015 World Weightlifting Championships in Houston, USA, competing in the 48 kg category with a total lift of 198 kg.
She has since won multiple world championship gold medals:
