Jens Kask

Jens Kask (20 April 1966 – 15 January 2011) was a Swedish Paralympic ice sledge hockey player. He competed for Sweden in the Winter Paralympic Games, winning one gold medal and two bronze medals. He served as captain of the Swedish national team for many years and was his country's flag bearer at the 2010 Winter Paralympics opening ceremony.

At the age of ten, Kask climbed onto the roof of a parked train and suffered an electric shock, resulting in the amputation of both his legs. He later took up ice sledge hockey and became a prominent figure in the sport.

Kask died at his home outside Stockholm in January 2011 at the age of 44.
