Jeff Pyle (ice hockey)

Jeff Pyle (born April 20, 1967) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and coach. He is primarily known for his coaching career in minor professional leagues, particularly in the ECHL and the CHL.

Pyle played junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) for the Kingston Canadians and the Cornwall Royals before embarking on a professional playing career that spanned several seasons in various leagues including the ECHL, AHL, and IHL. He was primarily a defenseman.

After retiring from playing, Pyle transitioned to coaching. He found considerable success in the ECHL, leading teams such as the Wheeling Nailers and the Texas Wildcatters. His tenure with the Texas Wildcatters included leading them to a Kelly Cup championship in 2008.

Pyle also coached in the Central Hockey League (CHL), serving as the head coach of the Allen Americans. He helped the Americans win the Ray Miron President's Cup in 2013 and 2014.

Throughout his coaching career, Pyle has been recognized for his ability to build competitive teams and develop players. He is considered a respected figure in minor professional hockey.
