Jean-Michel Vaubien (born January 16, 1980, in Paris) is a French actor, singer, dancer, and dubbing (voice-over) artistic director. He is known for his work in musical theatre, film and television dubbing, and voice direction.
Biography
Vaubien began his career as a self-taught performer in cabarets such as Carré Blanc, the Gospel pour 100 Voix choir, and Club Med World. He later performed at the Casinos Barrière of Enghien-les-Bains, Deauville, and Trouville. Through Patrice Dozier, he entered the dubbing industry after a performance of the musical Fame, meeting artistic directors Perrette Pradier and Réjane Schauffelberger.
In November 2015, he participated in the French television show La France a un incroyable talent on M6 as part of the vocal group Les Garçons, reaching the semi-finals. Between 2016 and 2018, he performed in the revival of Notre-Dame de Paris by Luc Plamondon and Richard Cocciante at the Palais des Congrès de Paris, touring France, Taiwan, Beirut, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and Istanbul, playing the role of Clopin.

He has also worked as a dubbing artistic director since 2022 for companies including Titrafilm, Hiventy, and Audiophase-Cinéphase, directing projects such as the Netflix series Les Chiens de la colline.
Musical Theatre and Stage
Vaubien's stage credits include Fame Le Musical, Avenue Q, DISCO, le spectacle musical, Gospel sur la Colline, Swinging Life, and Kirikou et Karaba. He has also performed as a dancer for Le Plus Grand Cabaret du monde and Les Années bonheur on France 2.
Personal Life
Vaubien is a father of four children. He is an advocate for the protection of human dubbing against artificial intelligence, participating in the "Touche pas à ma VF" collective.
