Jean-François Balmer

Jean‑François Balmer (born 1 July 1946) is a Swiss actor who has worked extensively in theatre, film, and television in the French‑speaking world. He was born in Neuchâtel, Switzerland, and trained at the Conservatoire de Lausanne before beginning his professional career in the early 1970s.

Balmer’s stage work includes performances with prominent French and Swiss theatre companies, notably the Théâtre du Soleil, the Comédie de Genève, and the Théâtre de la Ville in Paris.
