Jean-Claude Fernandes (born 8 November 1972) is a French professional football manager, executive, and former player. He was born in Longjumeau, France, and played as a defensive midfielder.
Playing Career
Fernandes joined the Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) youth academy at age 14. He made his first and only appearance for PSG's senior team on 11 August 1993 in a 1–0 win against Sochaux. PSG won Division 1 in the 1993–94 season, and Fernandes is credited with the title in his career honours despite limited playing time.
He was loaned to Nancy in Division 2 for the 1994–95 and 1995–96 seasons, making a total of 44 league appearances and scoring 3 goals. A knee injury sidelined him for four months during the 1995–96 campaign.
In 1996, Fernandes signed with Châteauroux, where he played 22 league matches in the 1996–97 season as the club won Division 2. The following season in Division 1, he did not play a single match due to a recurring knee injury, which required three surgeries. After failed transfers to Sedan and Pisa due to his injury, he ended his professional career.
In December 1998, Fernandes joined amateur club Sainte-Geneviève, where his brother was playing. He became player-manager in June 2002 and retired from playing in 2004.
Post-Playing Career
After retiring as a player, Fernandes became the full-time manager of Sainte-Geneviève, a role he held until 2007. He then served as the club's coordinator for one year before becoming sporting director in 2008, a position he still holds as of August 2022. He works alongside former PSG teammate Emmanuel Dorado, who is the club's manager.

Fernandes is the father of Charlotte Fernandes, a professional footballer who plays for FC Fleury 91.
