Jamila Sanmoogan

Jamila Sanmoogan (born January 6, 1997) is a Guyanese competitive swimmer who has represented Guyana in various international aquatic events, most notably the Olympic Games.

Sanmoogan competed in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She participated in the women's 50-meter freestyle event, where she recorded a time of 28.88 seconds in the heats, finishing in 63rd place overall.

In addition to her Olympic appearance, Sanmoogan has represented Guyana at several FINA World Aquatics Championships, including the 2017 championships in Budapest and the 2019 championships in Gwangju. She has also competed in the South American Games and various regional competitions within the Caribbean. Sanmoogan has held multiple national records for Guyana in both freestyle and butterfly disciplines.
