James Troisi

James Troisi (born 19 June 1991) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as an attacking midfielder or forward. He has represented the Australian national team, the Socceroos, at senior level.

Early Life and Youth Career
Troisi was born in Adelaide, South Australia. He progressed through the youth systems of Adelaide United and the Australian Institute of Sport before beginning his senior career.

Club Career

  • Adelaide United (2009–2011) – Troisi made his professional debut with Adelaide United in the A-League, appearing in 13 league matches and scoring one goal.
  • Melbourne Heart (2011–2013) – He transferred to Melbourne Heart (now Melbourne City FC), where he featured in 27 league games and scored three goals.
  • FC Utrecht (2013–2015) – Troisi moved to Europe, joining Dutch Eredivisie side FC Utrecht. He made 38 league appearances and netted four times.
  • FC Twente (Loan, 2015) – He spent a short loan spell at FC Twente, playing in two Eredivisie matches.
  • Urawa Red Diamonds (2015–2016) – Troisi signed with the Japanese J1 League club Urawa Red Diamonds, appearing in 15 league matches.
  • Al Ain (2016–2017) – He joined United Arab Emirates club Al Ain but did not feature in league matches.

International Career
Troisi made his senior debut for Australia on 7 February 2012 in a friendly against Saudi Arabia. He earned a total of 21 caps for the Socceroos, scoring three goals. He was part of Australia's squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup, though he did not feature in tournament matches.
