James Freeth (cricketer)

James Freeth is an English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Oxford University between 1927 and 1929. A right-handed batsman, he appeared in 19 first-class matches, scoring 581 runs at an average of 18.74. His highest score was 92. He also took 7 wickets with his bowling at an average of 41.57, with a best of 3 for 20. Details of his life outside of cricket are limited but he is recorded as having attended and played cricket for Shrewsbury School before attending Oxford University.
