In October 2014, following the federal elections, Galant was appointed Secretary of State for Mobility in the Michel I Government, a post that was elevated to full Minister of Mobility in the subsequent Michel II Government (December 2018). During her tenure, she oversaw policies related to road safety, public transport, and infrastructure development, including initiatives to modernise the railway network and promote sustainable mobility. She was also responsible for the implementation of the “Road Safety Action Plan” aimed at reducing traffic fatalities.
