JOY Entertainment is a Vietnamese mobile game company oriented toward becoming a full-fledged mobile game developer and publisher. The company was founded on April 21, 2012, by four founders with prior experience in game development at Gameloft SEA: Le Giang Anh, Tran Quang Huy, Hoang Ngoc Toan, and Nguyen Huu Le Trong Tin.

History
In its early years (2012–2013), the company developed simple casual games—including Kupid, Blocks Buddies, and Bounce—to build the technical skills of its development team. Between 2013 and 2014, it released Blocks Buddies on iOS devices (iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad) on August 15, 2013.
During 2014–2015, the company released three additional games: Troll Running, Auto Racing, and Amazing Kick. It also relocated its office to the Mekong Tower Building and completed development of its breakthrough title, Captain Strike.
In 2015–2016, Captain Strike was licensed to a publisher in Thailand for international distribution. The company also won first prize at the Asia Incubate Camp competition in Singapore for its mobile game concept Clash of Allstars.

Technology
During its game development process, the company created a proprietary game engine called the JAB Engine, which has been described as the first game engine developed in Vietnam.
Awards and Recognition
On February 26, 2015, the company's mobile game concept Clash of Allstars won first place at the Asia Incubate Camp, organized by Incubate Fund of Japan. On June 5, 2015, the company completed registration of the Captain Strike brand product.
