Iwonicz

Iwonicz is a town in southeastern Poland, located in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship. It is situated in the valley of the Iwonicki Stream, in the Low Beskid mountain range. Historically known as Iwonicz-Zdrój, it is recognized as a spa town, famed for its mineral waters and therapeutic climate.

The town's history as a health resort dates back to the 16th century, with the first documented mention of its healing waters appearing in 1578. The development of Iwonicz as a prominent spa gained momentum in the 19th century, attracting visitors seeking treatment for various ailments, including respiratory and cardiovascular diseases.
