Ivo Gregurević (20 October 1952 – 1 March 2019) was a Croatian actor noted for his extensive work in theatre, film, and television. He was born in Čapljina, then part of the People's Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina within Yugoslavia, and later moved to Zagreb, where he pursued his acting education at the Academy of Dramatic Art, University of Zagreb.
Gregurević began his professional career in the late 1970s, joining the ensemble of the Gavella Drama Theatre in Zagreb. Over the following four decades, he performed in a wide range of stage productions, ranging from classical repertoire to contemporary Croatian drama. His filmography exceeds ninety titles, encompassing feature films, television series, and short subjects. Prominent screen appearances include “Ruža Vjetrova” (1979), “Kad čuješ zvona” (2005), “Grbavica” (2006), and the popular television series “Lud, zbunjen, normalan.”
Gregurević was widely regarded for his versatile character portrayals and his capacity to embody both comedic and dramatic roles. He received multiple national recognitions for his contributions to Croatian performing arts, including lifetime‑achievement honours bestowed by cultural institutions.
He died in Zagreb on 1 March 2019 at the age of 66. His death was widely reported in Croatian media, and he is remembered as one of the most prolific and respected actors of his generation.
