Ira Sewaya (Sinhala: ඉර සේවය, "Sun Rise") is a 2015 Sri Lankan Sinhala-language drama film directed by Rodney Widanapathirana and produced by Kanthi Alahakone. The film stars Wimal Alahakone and Rebeka Nirmali in lead roles, alongside Maureen Charuni and Ishara Wickremasinghe. The music was composed by Manoj Peiris.
The film was released on 19 June 2015 and was shot in both Sri Lanka and England. It is the 1244th Sri Lankan film in the Sinhala cinema. The film was screened after the death of the main actress Rebeka Nirmali. It was also screened in Nepal, organized by the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Kathmandu, and was re-screened in 2021 at Ananda cinema in Gampola.
Plot
The story follows Nalaka, a person who returns to Sri Lanka and finds his married life complicated by problems. He marries Lorraine, who attempts to kill him in order to obtain his property.
