Ioan Mera

Ioan Mera (born 5 May 1987) is a Romanian professional footballer who plays as a defender.

Career Mera began his senior career at Universitatea Cluj, where he played from 2005 to 2008. His performances led to a transfer to CFR Cluj, one of Romania's top clubs, in 2008. During his tenure at CFR Cluj, he was part of the squad that won the Liga I title in the 2009–10 season and the Cupa României in 2008–09 and 2009–10, as well as the Supercupa României in 2009.

He also had loan spells during his time at CFR Cluj, including a period at FC Brașov. After departing CFR Cluj, Mera played for several other Romanian clubs, including Astra Giurgiu, ACS Poli Timișoara, Petrolul Ploiești, and SCM Gloria Buzău, among others. He has primarily played in the Romanian Liga I and Liga II throughout his career.

International Career Mera has represented Romania at the youth international level, having played for the Romania U21 national team.
