Ingmar Koch (born 1965) is a German electronic musician, composer, and audio engineer. He is commonly known by the alias Dr. Walker and has been active in the electronic music scene since the late 1980s. Koch co‑founded the experimental techno group Air Liquide in 1991 alongside Thomas Fehlmann. The duo released several influential albums and EPs that contributed to the development of ambient techno and electronic dance music in the 1990s.
In addition to Air Liquide, Koch has been involved in numerous collaborative projects and solo releases under various monikers, including Kling Klang, Lungbutter, and Puppeteers. He operates the Kling Klang Studio in Berlin, where he produces his own work as well as that of other artists. Koch’s productions are characterized by the use of analog synthesizers, modular systems, and experimental sound design techniques.
Koch has performed live internationally, appearing at venues and festivals such as Berghain, Moscow Club, and the Istanbul Music Festival. His contributions to electronic music have been recognized in several publications and documentaries on the evolution of the genre in Germany.
