Ilias Savvidis (Greek: Ηλίας Σαββίδης; born in Drama, Greece) is a Greek politician and physician. A member of the New Democracy party, he has served as a Member of the Hellenic Parliament for the Kavala constituency since 2019.
Early Life and Education Ilias Savvidis was born in Drama, a city in northern Greece. He pursued his higher education at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, where he successfully graduated from the Medical School. Following his medical studies, he specialized as a radiologist, a profession he practiced for a significant period before entering national politics.
Political Career Savvidis began his political involvement within local administration before transitioning to national politics. He was first elected as a Member of the Hellenic Parliament representing the Kavala constituency in the 2019 Greek legislative election, running under the banner of the center-right New Democracy party. He successfully secured re-election to the same parliamentary seat in the 2023 Greek legislative elections, affirming his mandate for a second term. During his parliamentary tenure, Savvidis has typically been involved in legislative committees and discussions pertinent to health and social affairs, leveraging his professional background as a physician.
