Igor Kovalyov (born October 4 1961) is a Russian‑born animator, director, and producer notable for his work in American and Russian animation, particularly on television series such as The Simpsons, Rugrats, and The Ren & Stimpy Show.
Overview
Kovalyov began his animation career in the Soviet Union, training at the Moscow State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK). In the early 1990s he relocated to the United States, where he joined the animation studio Klasky‑Csupo.
