Ibis Budget

Ibis Budget is an international economy hotel brand owned and operated by the French hospitality group Accor. It serves as the budget-tier component of the Ibis brand family, which also includes Ibis (mid-scale economy) and Ibis Styles (design-oriented economy).

The brand was officially established in 2011 as part of a strategic rebranding initiative by Accor. This process involved transitioning the majority of its Etap Hôtel properties and certain Formule 1 locations into the Ibis Budget brand to consolidate the company's economy portfolio under a single identity. The global rollout of the new branding was completed by 2012.

Ibis Budget hotels are characterized by a standardized service model focused on providing essential accommodations at a low price point. The rooms are designed for functional utility, typically featuring simplified furniture and integrated bathroom pods. Facilities usually include basic amenities such as wireless internet access and a communal breakfast area, with many locations employing automated check-in kiosks to streamline operations.

The properties are frequently situated near major transportation infrastructure, including highways, railway stations, and airports, as well as in city centers. As of recent corporate reporting, the brand maintains an extensive global presence with hundreds of locations across Europe, South America, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region.
