Ian Britton (born 20 December 1954) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder.
Britton began his career with Dumbarton, making his debut in 1972. He was a key part of the Dumbarton side that surprisingly won the Scottish First Division title (then the second tier) in 1972, earning promotion to the Scottish Premier Division.
In 1977, Britton moved to Dundee, where he continued to play in the Scottish Premier Division. He spent several seasons with Dundee, becoming a consistent performer in their midfield.
In 1983, Britton transferred to Birmingham City in England. He played for Birmingham City in the English Second Division (then the second tier).
After his time at Birmingham City, Britton returned to Scotland and finished his playing career with Partick Thistle. Following his retirement from professional football, he has been involved in coaching at youth and amateur levels.
