I. B. Sathish (also known as I. B. Sathish Babu) is an Indian politician and a prominent member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI(M)). He currently serves as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) in the Kerala Legislative Assembly, representing the Attingal constituency.
Political Career: I. B. Sathish has a long history of involvement in grassroots politics within Kerala. He has been actively associated with the CPI(M) and its various mass organizations, including the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), the youth wing of the party.
He first successfully contested the Kerala Legislative Assembly elections in 2021, securing a significant victory from the Attingal constituency. In the 2021 elections, he defeated his rivals from the Indian National Congress (INC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to claim the seat, demonstrating strong local support for his candidacy and party.
