Hugh O'Donnell (artist)

Hugh O'Donnell (born 1950) is a Scottish abstract painter. He studied at the Glasgow School of Art from 1968 to 1972, where he was influenced by the Colourist tradition and the work of artists such as Joan MirĂ³ and Paul Klee.

O'Donnell's work is characterized by its vibrant colours, dynamic compositions, and layered surfaces. He often uses a combination of acrylic paint, collage, and other materials to create textured and visually complex paintings. His paintings frequently explore themes of memory, place, and the passage of time.

Throughout his career, O'Donnell has exhibited extensively in the United Kingdom and internationally.
